Hi! I'm Amber Lea Gray. I’m a pastor, creative, and spiritual director. I believe these things with my whole heart:
Life is hard and messy. We need each other.
Change takes courage and hard work.
Faith is a journey, not a destination -- that sometimes (oftentimes) includes doubt.
Grace transforms. It will not leave you the same.
Growth is about asking the hard questions and doing the scary thing.
A mini dance party will increase your mood 99.9% of the time.
A little About Me
I'm a 30-something, Mississippi girl with a pilgrim soul. I married my partner (Andrew) in 2013, and I have the sweetest fur family. If you are around me for any amount of time, you'll notice: I bring contagious energy with me everywhere I go, I can sometimes be a little snarky, and I can't hear a good beat without shakin' it a little. (JT anyone?!) I love to travel, explore new cultures, and try new things. I believe stories connect us, and I’m excited to get to know you more. That's me in a nutshell!
Truth: It took me a long time to get comfortable in my own skin. I have struggled with self-doubt and looming you’re not good enough thoughts. They still creep up every now and then, but at the end of the day, I stand firmly planted in who I am—who I am growing to be. My soul longs for deep roots and wide, tall branches.
I'm an ordained pastor in the United Methodist Church, and part of my calling is helping people realize their enoughness.I want to create a place for people to authentically show up, and know they are not alone! I'm multi-passionate. I love helping people feel empowered through photography, digital art, content creation, podcasting, and so much more.

What will the Wild Grace Substack offer?
To be honest, I’m still figuring that out. My goal is to build a place for community. Here are some things I hope to do:

Occasional Bible studies
Community Check-ins - How is it with your soul? What is giving you life right now? Do you have anything we can be in prayer for? Let’s engage the hard questions together.
And more! (I know this is true, but TBH I haven’t figured out what it will look like yet.)
