Welcome to Wild Grace

Hi! I’m Amber Lea Gray — a pastor, artist, and spiritual director who believes these things with my whole heart:

  • Life is beautiful and messy. We need each other.

  • Faith is a journey, not a destination — full of wonder and doubt and grace that changes us along the way.

  • Creativity is one of the ways the Spirit speaks, heals, and sets us free.

  • Growth begins with curiosity and the courage to take the next brave step.

  • Grace is wild and untamed — it transforms everything it touches.

  • A mini dance party will increase your mood 99.9% of the time.

A Little About Me

I’m a Mississippi girl with a pilgrim soul — equal parts pastor, artist, and question-asker. I married my partner, Andrew, in 2013, and we have the sweetest fur family.

If you spend much time with me, you’ll notice: I bring contagious energy wherever I go (and a little bit of snark), I can’t resist a good beat, and I believe stories and art are sacred spaces where grace shows up. I love to travel, explore new cultures, and try new things — anything that reminds me how wide and wild God’s love really is.

It took me a long time to feel at home in my own skin. I’ve wrestled with self-doubt and the quiet voice that says, you’re not enough. It still whispers sometimes, but I’ve learned to root myself in who I am — and who I’m becoming. My soul longs for deep roots and wide, reaching branches.

As an ordained pastor in the United Methodist Church, my calling is to help people remember their enoughness — to create spaces where you can show up honestly, ask the hard questions, and know you’re not alone.

As an artist and spiritual director, I explore how color, texture, poetry, and presence awaken us to God’s nearness. Whether I’m painting, writing, or listening deeply to someone’s story, I’m drawn to the quiet moments when the sacred breaks through the ordinary.

And that’s really what Wild Grace is about — a gathering place for all the ways we encounter the holy in our everyday lives. It’s a space to pause and breathe, to create and question, to remember that grace still moves among us — wild, untamed, and beautifully alive.
