I had a MAJOR Mindset shift this week...
Hey friends!
I just finished the best book I’ve read in a really long time. We’re talking life altering, major mindset shifts.
It’s called Community, The Structure of Belonging by Peter Block.
Here’s the deal. I’ve been feeling pretty defeated lately. My energy has been low and I’ve been under an enormous amount of stress. I started seeing a Spiritual Director and therapist. I tried to implement some healthy habits, but nothing was working.
If I’m honest, I’ve been vibing a little too much with the writer of Ecclesiastes.
Meaningless, Meaningless. Everything is meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 1:2)
Now don’t get me wrong. I do not feel like this every day, but the last few years have been hard. Can I get an amen? Seriously, y’all — not hard in just one way, but hard from all directions. For me, what made it even more difficult was that all my old tips and tricks for getting back on track were falling short.
At the same time, I believe with all my heart that transformation is possible. I also believe that our current and old ways of doing things are not going to work anymore.
Stage right *enters* this book. The ideas and concepts that Peter talks about are things that I have felt deep in my soul for a long time, but did not have the words to articulate. This feels like a fresh start, right when I needed one the most.
I talked about my first major mindset shift on the podcast this week. After you listen, come back here and let’s talk about it. Seriously, I love being on this journey with you.
always grace,
Amber Lea
