Friends!
I taught an Advent study on Monday, and I can’t stop thinking about it. We had a conversation about peace, and what peace looks like. I shared some of those thoughts on this week’s episode of the Growth & Grace podcast, but there is one thing I can’t stop thinking about…
Unity and uniformity are not the same things.
Human nature wants them to be the same.
I think that maybe peace happens when we understand that statement. Peace happens when we stop trying to change people. Peace happens when we stop trying to choose for people what we would choose for ourselves. Peace happens when we are able to come together on the things that matter and let the rest go.
always grace,

BIG LIFE UPDATE!
I was accepted to a Doctorate of Ministry program at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary that focuses on spiritual practices. When I graduate, not only will I be a Rev. Dr. Amber Lea Gray… but I will be a certified spiritual director. I’m so excited about this next step in my journey. In order to ease some of the financial burden of continuing my education, I’m selling art to cover my tuition!
This Week on the Growth & Grace Podcast:
— It's the season of Peace on Earth, but what does peace even mean? Is peace possible? I look at the state of the world, and I have some serious doubts!
We are in the season of Advent, which is a time of anticipation and preparation for Christmas. There are four traditional Advent themes: peace, hope, love, and joy. Today I'm talking about peace. I'm sharing a little about what peace is and how we can cultivate peace in our lives. Spoiler alert: I actually do think it is possible.

Question for transformation:
I believe that transformation happens when we allow ourselves to engage with good questions. Below is your weekly question for transformation. Think about it, journal it, or talk about it with a friend. If you want, share your response in the comment section.
