Hi friends,
Here are some thoughts on gratitude this Thanksgiving week.
Practicing gratitude means paying attention to what we are thankful to the point that it makes us feel more kind and compassionate toward the world. It can motivate people to make positive changes in their lives.
I say Practice gratitude instead of be grateful, Because honestly, it is not easy. It does not come naturally to be grateful. Maybe in November, there is a heightened sense of gratitude because of Thanksgiving, but in general, misery likes company. To truly focus on the good takes practice.
By focusing on what we’re grateful for, we’re better able to see the potential in everything, be open to new possibilities, and feel more optimistic about life.
This Week on Growth & Grace:
— It's the holiday season when all the expectations begin to surface. We're around family who have expectations for us. Maybe we have expectations of them? We have expectations about what the holidays will look like and how other people will act. Today I'm talking about what it looks like to release those expectations so that you can find peace!
Question for transformation:
I believe that transformation happens when we allow ourselves to engage with good questions. Below is your weekly question for transformation. Think about it, journal it, or talk about it with a friend. If you want, share your response in the comment section.
Write a list of all the things you are grateful for.
