Dear friends,
August is in full swing. I’ve been sitting here reflecting on the past few months, and I am overwhelmed by God’s goodness. I have officially been back in Mississippi for an entire year, and for the first time in a long while — my soul is well. Now, I have still experienced hard seasons this past year. Life. Is. Yard. But it is also so beautiful.
There is real freedom in releasing the expectations of others. I am learning to hold the tension of heartbreak and grace. I constantly remind myself of the truth: God is me.
God is with you — through every season of life.
In a world that wants everything to be black and white, I am learning to embrace the grey. In a world that wants answers, I’m okay saying — I don’t know. I am becoming more and more comfortable with mystery. If I am honest, I have a lot of questions. Life is this never ending journey of growth and transformation. Most of the time I feel like I am wandering though the wilderness. This year taught me to stop and enjoy the view.
So…
Wherever you find yourself in this season of life, you are not alone. Take a deep breath. Your worth is not determined by your productivity. The pressure and sense of competition you feel is manufactured by systems that do not have your best interest in mind. You are enough. Feel the earth beneath your feet. Look up from the chaos that swirls around. Enjoy the view. Look how far you have come.
I’m so proud of you.
always grace,
Amber Lea Gray
Podcast Launch — I’m so excited to announce that the first episode of the Wild Grace podcast is LIVE! In the episode I give a little update and the reason for the re-brand and new focus. It feels more authentic for this season of my life, and I’m going to get to share so much from my new Doctorate program!
Umm.. is this my life?!
Last week Andrew and I went on vacation to Oregon, and I WENT IN A HOT AIR BALLOON. Eeek! This has been on my bucket list since I was a little girl, and it was better than I could have ever expected!
I was also published in a magazine! What?! The Mantra Wellness Magazine selected my article to be featured in their summer issue. This has been one of my favorite magazines for the longest time. It is so bright and fun and encouraging. Pick up your copy anywhere magazine are sold to see what I wrote about!
Question For Transformation:
I believe that transformation happens when we allow ourselves to engage with good questions. Below is a question to aid you on your journey. Think about it, journal it, or talk about it with a friend. If you want, share your response in the comment section.
