Change is upon us.
Hi Friends,
Fall is here. 🍂 There is something about the crisp air and colorful leaves that give me hope. The first cool night is like a deep breath for my soul. A long-awaited respite from an endless summer. Change is upon us.
Most of the time we dread change. Fall is a reminder that change can be beautiful.
Pep Talk Time —
Change is part of growth. You are allowed to change your mind. It's okay to change your mind. It is a normal part of life. If you do in fact change your mind, then you do not owe anyone an explanation.
You’re doing a great job. I’m so proud of how far you have come. Grateful to be in this season of change together.
always grace,
Amber Lea
This Week on Growth & Grace:
— This week I'm sharing a sermon on Luke 16, the parable of the dishonest manager. This text challenged me and my perceptions of fairness. Spoiler alert: The Gospel is not fair. Grace is not fair. Lets talk about what that means for us today.
On Repeat This Week:
I’ve learned that I can’t listen to songs with words when I work. I get distracted. At the same time, most instrumental music is too relaxing. SoI recently found this playlist, and it has created a vibe in my office!
Question for Transformation—
I believe that transformation happens when we allow ourselves to engage with good questions. Below is your weekly question for transformation. Think about it, journal it, or talk about it with a friend. If you want, share your response in the comment section.
What are the gifts you hold that have not been brought fully into the world?
A Study on Spiritual Practices
I’m hosting a study on Spiritual Practices for all paid subscribers! If you’ve ever wondered what you can do to grow spiritually or what it looks like to deepen your relationship with God, then this is the perfect study for you. Each week we’ll cover a different spiritual practice and try them out together!
Last week we talked about Mindfulness. This week we’re learning how to pray the Psalms.
